New Blood Art Emerging Art Prize 2025 Shortlisted Artists:
2025 Graduate emerging artists nominated by fine art tutors from art institutions across the UK

The commercial gallery cannot sustain the full philanthropic delivery of an annual prize show, artist exposure programme, or residency-style support. This is the structural reason the 2025 prize has paused at shortlist level. The Foundation is being created precisely to take on this Art Prize work and the artist development, exposure, programming, exhibitions, and long-form support that sit outside the remit and financial model of a commercial gallery.

The prize has grown beyond the scope of the gallery: the exhibition and public-benefit programming require a funded, dedicated structure. The full presentation, including the complete list and the exhibition component, will be delivered through the Foundation’s new programme once it is established. The intention is to present the 2025 cohort alongside the 2024 artists in a unified exhibition and publication.

This is why the 2025 page currently shows only the early shortlist. Once the Foundation is established and the programme is activated, the full 2025 Prize presentation will go live here. We also intend to hold a physical show for these artists once the Foundation and its premises are in place.
